Pictures Starting from the Second Phase of Scenery

The layout is coming right along. More trees have been added along with telephone poles and road signs.

Scenery is beginning to close around the structures.  The new Atlas house coming this Summer will occupy the vacant lot at center rear

Center of town is starting to come alive.

Highway department beginning to build some much needed road signs.

Electric and telephone service will be arriving soon.

Local switcher about to enter the short tunnel at Hills after crossing the Chartiers Creek.

Left side of layout after "planting" some more trees.

Right side of layout as the scenery close to the houses begin to take shape.

SuperTree material from Scenic Express is separated, soaked in matte medium, and hung to dry with a little weight to straighten the trunk if needed.

Then they are spray painted with black and gray, and maybe a little brown, paint as above.  Next will be to spray them with rubbing alcohol, Scenic Cement, and then they will be sprinkled with various colors of ground turf before they are ready to be "planted".  Little bushes are made from groupings of Supertree stuff that was too small for individual trees.

Scenery is coming along.

Roads look a lot better with centerlines and parking spaces.  Chartpak 1/32" and 1/64" matte finished graphic tape worked out great.

Added a scratch made platform so track #2 passengers can get to and from the station.

A dangerous place until the road crews put up some signs.

Law enforcement has arrived - maybe they are waiting for the new donut shop to open.  My daughter is a real life police officer and this is for her.

RIX railings added to the road bridge.  Nice day to be in a canoe.
